Here is a Tasmanian Merino Roving made of 100% Tasmanian Merino.  It is like yarn but unspun.  Making it ideal for a beginner spinner.
 
It is a dream to spin with and makes it a great roving for a beginner as you do not need to think about drafting the fibre.
 
Also it knits up into a strong amazing soft fabric.  It is approx 400m in 40g.  Stokinette guage on 5mm needles 18 stitches/34 rows in 10 cm.  So knits up as a DK equivilant.
