The Sheepish Little Sweater is sweet and fun! Look at those little sheep! Each one has such personality.
The colours selected give the sweater movement and life. For example, rather than using a straight cream for the sheep, we opted for a mildly variegated colourway. This gives the impression the sheep have been having a great time in a true Tasmanian paddock!
The sweater is knit top-down in one piece with raglan increases. It features a charming stranded-colourwork sheep motif at the base. The colourwork only ever features two colours at a time, meaning it's great for beginners.
The Sheepish Little Sweater pattern is designed by Melissa Kemmerer . The pattern is available on Melissa's Ravelry page and needs to be purchased separately.
YARN BASE
All yarn in this kit is Dynamite 8ply DK | 100% Superwash Merino Wool | Approx. 225m per 100gm
You might note that the pattern calls for a worsted weight yarn. However, the pattern's recommended yarn is 190m per 100gm. Our 8ply is 225m per 100gm, and we made gauge on the recommended needles with this base. It made a beautiful fabric with lovely drape.

Each kit contains the yarn required to knit the pattern in your preferred size.
We have two kits available to order: up to size 2, and up to size 4. The yarn you will receive for each kit is listed below.
Up to Size 2:

- Little Green Monster (contrast colour 3) - 225m
Up to Size 4:

The yarn provided in each kit is more than what is called for in the pattern. You will have plenty spare! Why not check out Melissa Kemmerer's other designs and make up a matching beanie with the leftover yarn.
The Sheepish Little Sweater pattern is written for up to a size 10. If you would like a kit for a size larger than size 4, please get in touch and we can organise a kit for a larger size.
Sheepish Little Sweater Kits
It is best to hand wash gently in warm water, using a neutral non Eucalyptus wool wash. The merino has been treated so it can be cleaned in a washing machine. Put your item into a delicate wash bag, use the wool wash setting and a gentle wool detergent. Eucalyptus based wool wash has been known to strip colour, so over time, it may effect the colour of the yarn.
Dry in the shade and store your knitted/crochet item flat. If you wish to iron your item, have it on the medium setting.
I spend a lot of time working on the images to be as colour accurate as possible. There may be colour variation due to computer screen resolutions. There are also colour variations due to the nature of hand dyed yarns.
