What a day! Hobart pulled out all the stops for the Autumn Crafty DeStash Market, delivering a beautiful, sunny morning that set the tone for one of our most vibrant community events yet.

From the moment the warehouse doors opened at 10am, the energy was undeniable. Hundreds of makers, crafters, and curious creatives lined up to get inside.

This was Bombed Yarn's second Crafty DeStash Market. The DeStash Markets are a community market for pre-loved, high quality craft supplies. Where one person's stash is another person's treasure!

A Treasure Trove of High-Quality Craft Supplies

This wasn’t just any market. It was a carefully curated celebration of creativity!

We were lucky to host 14 incredible stall holders, each bringing along thoughtfully selected, high-quality and pre-loved craft supplies. Whether you’re a knitter, crocheter, sewist, scrapbooker, or all-round creative, there was something for everyone to discover.

Shoppers browsed tables filled with:

• Beautiful yarns in a range of fibres and colourways

• Quality fabrics ready for their next project

• Macramé supplies and cords

• Sewing patterns for all skill levels

• Buttons, beads, and unique embellishments

• Scrapbooking materials and stickers

Coffee, Community & Creativity

Of course, no great Hobart morning is complete without coffee. And Estro Coffee kept everyone fuelled as they shopped, chatted, and connected.

More than anything, what stood out was the sense of community. We loved seeing people sitting and enjoying the communal crafting table together after browsing the stalls.

This event is about creating a space where makers can come together, share their stashes, and support one another. Aside from a very small social media ads budget, this event was entirely driven by word of mouth and community love.

And you showed up in the best way possible. THANK YOU!

Seeing such a strong turnout, with a line stretching out the door before opening, reminded us just how special this community is.

The enthusiasm, the conversations, the excitement over materials and making… it’s exactly why we do this.
