Riverdance Farm, Crabtree

Service Description

Riverdance Farm is based in Crabtree in the Huon Valley, south of Hobart.  It is a farm with a variety of animals with a big focus on alpacas, most which have been rescued.  This is no ordinary farm. On Sunday, April 13th, from 10 am to 12 pm, we are having our own private tour hosted by Renee, the fabulous woman behind this sanctuary for rescued alpacas. Find out how Renee and her son, run a sustainable farm while prioritising ethical animal care. Meet their friendly alpacas and other farm animals, and have your questions answered during this interactive tour. Renee is offering us a light morning tea and because we are yarny people, a skein of beautiful yarn created from the fleece of their rescued alpacas! That is pretty special. While we are down there, why not extend our autumn outing with a leisurely lunch at Willie Smith's Cider, wrapping up around 2 pm.  When you book your spot, you can let us know if you will only attend the farm experience or if you will join us for lunch. Lunch, at your own expense, is at Willie Smiths Apple Shed, Huon Highway, Grove. What to wear: Wear farm sturdy shoes with covered toes and a hat to protect yourself from the sun.
