Due to the nature of indigo dye, you may expereince some crocking on your hands while working with the yarn. Crocking is the release of excess indigo. You can easily wash this off with hand washing with warm water and soap.
This sort of fibre - if knitted using 2.5 - 4mm will produce a thick dense fabric - ideal for hand towles/dish clothes. To knit/crochet a garment (eg the the one in the photo), a 10mm was used. The image with the over laid knitted top is size 20. This used a single skein of yarn!
Indigo Dyed Cotton & Paper Yarn The last skein!
Using a neutral clothes washing powder/liquid, wash in your washing machine.
Dry and store your knitted/crochet item flat. If you wish to iron your item, have it on the medium setting.
I spend a lot of time working on the images to be as colour accurate as possible. There may be colour variation due to computer screen resolutions. There are also colour variations due to the nature of hand dyed yarns.
