Stitch 'N Yarn

Saturday 9th of March 2 - 4

This is our regular monthly community get together for anyone! Meet like minded people (the Bombed Squad). Bring completed items to show & share and your latest knit/crochet/stitching project. Do not be shy, the nicest people come to these!

I will offer you a drink and some afternoon tea. Please let me know when you book, if you have any diet restrictions. Email sarah@bombedyarns.com.

 

Bookings close on the 5th of March for catering purposes.

ALL ABOUT MARY JANE

Mary Jane Mucklestone is a knitwear designer, teacher, and author of six knitting books specializing in stranded colourwork.  Her volumes, 200 Fair Isle Motifs and 150 Scandinavian Motifs, sit on thousands of knitter's bookshelves worldwide.  Endlessly inspired by traditional knitting, she likes to apply vintage ideas to modern knitwear.  

 

Mary Jane loves to teach and is thrilled to have the opportunity to visit Australia.  She specializes in lively informative classes where history, craft, fashion, and location meet.  With lots of personal attention, she aims to give students the courage to try something new.

Dear Pru is coming back to Bombed Yarns!

Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of April 

Dear Pru is Pru Raymond, a designer, teacher and writer behind the brand. When Pru visited us last year, she was passionate about supporting knitters to build skills and confidence while connecting with others through a shared love of being creative. She was keen to come back and we have made it happen! 

Pru will run four workshops this visit, over Saturday and Sunday 20 & 21st of April.  

 

Saturday morning is Brave Brioche - you want to nail this skill? This is a technique based class, where you will be supported to learn how to work one and two colour basic brioche. 

Saturday afternoon in Bend It Like Brioche you will learn to work two colour brioche increases and decreases. This workshop will extend your skills and increase your confidence to cast on even more complex brioche knitting projects. 

Sunday morning is .... Continental Breakfast! Is full English slowing you down? Try Continental Knitting! Learn a more ergonomic & efficient way to knit! 

 

Sunday afternoon - a popular class - Socks Plus! This workshop is designed for sock knitters who want to advance their skills and continue to build their sock library. 


Each workshop is $156 and there will be limited discount tickets available to attend all four workshops.
